PeoplesBike.com is a Westernized Chinese blog we like. Their mission is to make cycling in China more than just a means of transportation, but a lifestyle, a sport, or at least something fun to do. Compare that with the current movement in America, which is to make cycling more than just a lifestyle, a sport, or at least something fun to do, but a means of transportation.
They offer some fascinating glimpses into China’s new era of bike culture. Which looks both strikingly familiar and altogether new and, yes, fun. Their latest post takes them to the third annual Shenzhen Bike Festival, which included single-speed titanium and bamboo bikes, among other things, at prices that people from even nonmanufacturing countries like the US can afford (cause and effect aside).
Plus this road trike.
