Spot Rallye singlespeed, geared, or frameset
Spot Rallye ss
Spot introduces its best singlespeed, belt-drive, disc-brake cyclocross bike ever. Say goodbye to mud-choked chains and broken derailleurs. Say hello to the Rallye ($2700 complete, set up as singlespeed/belt; $1199 frameset; geared, $3300. Joe Bike’s upgrade to TRP HyRd hydraulic disc brakes is $150).
Bold, fast and belted, the Rallye SS is our middle finger to boring bikes. It’s an exclamation point on your day, a triple shot of espresso on wheels. Sometimes you just have to go for it and let your true colors fly. But this beauty is more than just a looker. The Rallye SS is engineered for speed, Spot’s two-wheeled answer to the rally car—a rough and ready machine built to handle off-road mud, infield grass, grit, gravel or pavement. The torsionally stiff yet nimble aluminum frame accelerates off the line.
Gently curving seat stays and a time-trial cutout on the seat tube provide subtle performance-enhancing vertical compliance. Cornering is tight and precise thanks to the Spot-designed carbon fork and tapered steerer. The Rallye SS comes race-configured with a CenterTrack belt drive for lightweight durability and mud-shedding cleanliness, but this versatile rig comes derailleur ready should you decide to gear up down the road. And those colors? The red belt? Like we said: it’s bold. Banish bland from your ride, take the red pill and make a statement. Because whether you want to conquer the race course or simply conquer the day, the Rallye SS does it with flying colors.
The Rallye is the Joe Bike cyclocross team’s official bike.
Extraordinary versatility for a race-ready bike:
–can be set up with Carbon Drive or a chain (and back again whenever you choose, as long as you have the parts)
–run singlespeed/belt or geared/chain (comes with derailleur mounts front and rear, plus internal cable guides)
–you can run Alfine 11, Di2, and chain, a system we’ve been impressed with on other bikes
Rallye with Deda Dabar carbon bullhorns
–stealthy fender mounts mean you can set the Rallye up for road or off-road use in any season, while stealthy rack mounts let you equip the Rallye with bags
–run cyclocross or road tires of pretty much any width you want
–disc brakes (found on all our bikes). The stock BB7 Road mechanical disc brakes are excellent. If you want to make braking almost as much fun as not braking, we can upgrade your Rallye to TRP hydraulic or hydro-mechanical.
Clearance, clearance, clearance! The frame was designed to complement the belt drive advantage in the mud: the BB86 bottom bracket shell is wider (by, um, 18 mm) than the standard, and bb drop is 6.1 cm
Weight: Around 18.3 lbs, excluding pedals.
Customization: Yes. It’s what we do for a living. Just ask.
Shipping: Free shipping with all complete Rallyes in the contiguous 48 states. Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia, and elsewhere: please ask.
From the Joe Bike Dept. of Nice Things:
Upgrade to TRP hydraulic disc brakes (black or silver) for $150:
To make it a year-round bike for both racing and training, add fenders (stealthy eyelets built in, or use Raceblades) and even a rear rack if you’re both insane and practical. As most Portlanders are.
